where can i download photo viewer files? (i deleted them all)

i'm trying to get the photo viewer back aswell, but none of those steps work, cos they follow default windows. mine is customised! i dont have windows store and those links and commands do not work.

why is there no download for photo viewer? cant i just download the files and put them in my windows folder, why everything has to be so complex on win10? on win xp i can just copy paste whatever i want and it just works, but in win10 we have to run in circles nananna blablabla and nothing ever works.
i deleted entire windows store, so it doesn't exist. internet explorer and edge do not exist on my pc either, i removed them completely. some core files might be still there, but none of it works nor opens. i only want the photo viewer and nothing else. i just like the quick editing feature on it, where you can quickly enhance the image, it auto rotates and changes colors and such.

is it possible for someone to please just rar and post the files of photo viewer? would be much appreciated. thanks.

where can i download photo viewer files? (i deleted them all)

Hi, first of sorry for opening a new topic on this matter, i know there are few topics about how to "restore" windows photo viewer, but my case is completely different. i have read the other topics and they're all just default. my windows is customised, i have manually DELETED all the photo viewer files from my computer. so using some powershell commands or window store does not work, because i do not have any of that.

my only way is to physically download the missing files, but i can't find a single place. all the places i find by googling, are just yapping about some registry keys and powershell commands, which obviously do not work, because i haven't just set a different photo viewer as default, but i have physically DELETED all the photo viewer files.

can someone please rar and upload photo viewer files? or if anyone knows a place where to download them, please let me know. windows store doesn't work, because i dont have it either. if i click on any of those links that is suppose to download, it says i don't have app that can open that link. so this won't work, i need the actual files.

its missing from "turn features on or off" aswell as i have deleted it completely.

or if there's any other way how to get it back (without resetting or reinstalling windows, because i have 5+ years of hard work gone into customising my windows) then please do tell. thanks.

If you have the ISO for the version of Windows that is installed then you could extract the missing files from it. They are all in the install.esd (or install.wim) that you'll find in the Sources folder. You can open this with 7-Zip File Manager to extract the files/folder.

That tutorial doesn't apply, it is for reinstalling the built-in Apps. But Windows Photo Viewer is not a UWP App, it is a conventional Win32 executable that pre-dates the introduction of Apps. It was included as part of Windows 7, after all.

I would try first copying the Windows Photo Viewer folder and all its contents back into C:\Program Files where it would have been before you deleted it. Note that there is also a Windows Photo Viewer folder in the C:\ Program Files (x86) folder. Then re-try the steps in @Brink's tutorial: Restore Windows Photo Viewer in Windows 10

thanks, this worked, but this is not the photo viewer i was talking about, i mean the one that has black theme and editing options. i really like the enhance feature in it. one that can do quick edits and such.
sorrry for the confusion, maybe i wrote name wrong? what is it called, that photo viewer with editing options?

Ah, we've been talking about different things. What you are after is called the Microsoft Photos app.

I think @Brink may be better able than I am to tell you how to reinstall that, especially as you deleted the Store too.

Oops. You should be able to use an option in the tutorial below to reinstall the Microsoft Store app.

Not without the Microsoft Store to install it from.
