Easy Duplicate finder keeps re opening

Easy Duplicate finder keeps re opening, via a pop up window, which i have to close, happens several times a day, how can i stop this thanks

Might be launched by a hot key somehow - or maybe a scheduled task?

Are you saying you see e.g. a command prompt window or something like that, and then that disappears and a window for Easy Duplicate finder appears?

Or do you mean you consider the Easy Duplicate finder window a pop-up window- and if so, how is it different to the normal one?

Of course you could attempt to track exactly what is happening using (maybe) the Event Viewer, or Process Monitor (Procmon).

You can also review your scheduled tasks and other startups, using Autoruns, searching for the appropriate file name.

dont see a command prompt, the splash screen just appears with the scan buttons, so its launching itself randomly during a windows session

Again- could it be being triggered by a hotkey- i.e. normal keyboard usage triggers it?

Examine your startups using Autoruns.

Perform a clean boot and see if the same happens. If not, work backwards.

Autoruns has a find feature - you can search for author/program exe - anything displayed. So I would have thought that would have let you find it easily, assuming it was shown appropriately in the scheduled task section.
