Software that can save files, then restore to original folders

I'm running Win10. One system drive C and one data drive D.

I think my computer may have an infection but I'm not sure. Although I've run anti-virus scans that previously found 2 threats but now show zero threats, I just don't feel comfortable with my current system. So I'm going to restore backups of both the system drive C and data drive D that were done on 1/2/23 to return to a guaranteed clean system.

When I restore the 1/2/23 backup to drive D, I will lose all data that I saved after 1/2/23 to present. So I'm looking for a software that can:

1. Save all files that were modified on drive D after 1/2/23, on a flash drive. And save the path that each file is in.
2. I do the backup restore to drive D. It will then be as it was on 1/2/23.
3. Restore the files that were saved in step-1 in their original paths.

Anyone know of any software that can do the above?

I use FreeFileSync for such a purpose. Read EVERYTHING about it and learn...

Just image your current drive or drives to another external drive. Restore your backup then once you've done that use:

TSR Copy Changed Files Software - Free software for logging changed and modified files.

Not only changed files but including new files created after 1/2/23. Thanks.

If it's just data then it won't be infected it would be very rare for data to contain virus

That's what I'm hoping but will run custom scans on the data to be saved. Thanks.

That program copies across missing files from directories that you specify. Copy Changed files really means files that have been modified or files that don't exist on the destination drive. I've used it plenty of times to restore the most recent files from a system image backup (created before rolling back to previous image).
