Print Shop Pro 20 doesn't work Windows 10

Hi, I hope I am posting this in the right forum.
When I purchased this new computer it had Windows 8.1 and I was able to use my prints shop pro 20 with it, without a problem. Now that I have updated to Windows 10, it is asking me to reinstall even though the app shows up. When the install is in process, it comes back and says it says there was an error, and then a second screen comes up and says fatal error. What is with that. I am not computer savvy so I don't understand a lot of the technical words that are throw around. Thanks for listening, and I hope someone can tell me what to do, because I use this software a lot.

If it is partially installed or messed up and you have the software, go to control panel > programs and features and uninstall it from your computer and then do a clean install, after it's installed..right click the software shortcut and click troubleshoot compatibility, windows 10 might be able to run it then.

Thank you so much for the quick reply. You won't believe this. If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any at all. (at times) I am in the middle of putting my home on the market and my daughter is helping me pack items not used often, well guess what got packed, yup the software for my print shop pro. Guess I am gonna miss using my program even longer because now the reinstall is gonna have to wait till my home is sold and I am in my new home. Thanks again.

When I switched from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, my Print Shop version 23.1 would not work, and Broderbund said that they had no plans to create a version which would. On a whim, I pulled out the installation disk for my old Print Shop 15 and tried it. To my surprise, it works fine on Windows 10, has most of the features of v.23.1, and the file formats are the same. Broderbund could just re-release version 15 and claim that it's their new version for Windows 10!
