iTunes replacement for all applications and file types

I'm so disgusted with iTunes and now there is some weird message about "deprecation" for contacts and calendar entries. Even before that message, iTunes was a hot mess if you tried to manage your applications, books, music, etc.

I'm willing to pay a "reasonable" amount for a replacement program or suite of programs. Just as I paid for Goodsync, which I use daily, I'm willing to pay for to get that damn iTunes off my system.

Don't know if this will help or not. I don't use iTunes, so I Googled...

I hope that someone can join this thread who has himself/herself replaced iTunes.

Have a look at Xilisoft iPhone Magic Platinum (which has just reduced in price).

iTunes replacement for all applications and file types-xilisoft.png

Despite its name, it can also be used with iPads and iPods.

As well as media transfer/management (music, movies, photos and iBooks) it also handles contacts, iMessages, notes and apps... including documents related to apps. So, for example, if you have the Kindle app installed it lets you add/manage ebooks in .mobi format.

It still needs iTunes installed (and is happiest with v12.10.8 or lower) but only for its libraries... you won't need to open iTunes.

    Hope this helps...

I don't normally use iTunes but I had to install the latest on Windows so as to retrieve photos from an old iPad 2 with iOS 9, worked fine. The main thing was the iPad 2 didn't have a file manager but iTunes does, to its credit made the task quite easy, got the photos transferred to my Win10 Notebook and then onto a USB Thumb drive.

@RickC You betchum. Most of the iTunes replacements only replace one or two function, but I need something that replaces all functions. I'm travelling right now, but next week I will definitely try out this program.

I like you hate iTunes, and for the past year I've used WinX MediaTrans™: Best iPhone iPad Manager to Transfer Photos Music Videos from/to PC

Thanks. I also use iTunes to sync Contacts and Calendars with Outlook running on my PC. Ideally, there is one iTunes replacement that does everything that WinX MediaTrans does, plus the Outlook sync.
