    Family calendar gone

Has anyone noticed their ms family Calendar is gone. Logged on this evening and went to add something to it only to realise it was missing. Not just on the pc but also on our devices (such as iOS) too. Maybe a glitch at MS end but it’s annoying. Our family uses it quite a bit and like being able to add events which then get pushed to all our devices. To get round it i created a new calendar on my acc and called it family stuff. But this was a pain as had to send invites to all our family and then get them all to accept.

    thanks

I've not seen ms family Calendar but there's 2 accesses on my computers, one with the clock in the Notification Area and another on the Start menu, Calendar. They are both still on the Insider Preview Dev version but the one on the clock had a Show Agenda button to bring up the list.

Yes, we had the same loss, around the time of updating to 2004 - but can't state definitively that this was the cause, since we had Office updates occurring around the same timeframe.

This disappearance occurred in both Outlook 365 & Win10 Calendar.

Interestingly enough, Outlook WebCal now carries a "Groups" category where the "Your Family" calendar restores the events that previously were in my Family calendar. I've tried adding that calendar in both 365 & Win10 Cal to no avail. Perhaps these apps need updates to access this new Outlook Web area, especially since that's where Win10 Cal (and perhaps Outlook 365) stores its calendar data.

Here's the answer from Microsoft: (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/use-shared-family-calendars-in-outlook-com)
What happened to the old shared family calendar?

The old version of the calendar was recently retired in an upgrade to a new version that allows users to send invites and works better with the new group and mailbox. All of the events from the old calendar were moved to the new calendar.

Remember that you can find the new calendar under the Groups section on the navigation pane in Outlook.com or in the Groups area of the Outlook mobile app.

Can I see the family group calendar in other applications?

No, the family group calendar only appears in Outlook.com and Outlook mobile.

Chalk up another stealth "improvement" for MS.

Thanks guys for the feedback. Quite why they saw the need to mess with it I do not know. It’s not 2004 upgrade specific as far as I can tell as it was working until a couple days ago and we’ve been on the version for a while now. I ended up creating a new calendar in the web app called ‘family stuff’ and sending invites to my family from it. By then going to each of their emails received and accepting the new calendar populated everywhere, on iOS devices, outlook 365, android phones so I guess all ok in the end
