One thing I don't like about 7-Zip is it tells you to reboot after the install which is not needed with WinRAR even though I never reboot like it asks me to...

That only happened to me ounce, probably because I had a .dll file still open in 7Zip when I updated.

Happens everytime I installed although I have technically only installed the original version many years ago and the last two versions and I never opened 7Zip before the install. I don't use 7zip unless I had a .7z file, otherwise I use WinRAR for everything else. Never had to open 7Zip except right after each install to make sure it works.

I've been using WinRAR for years, (registered user) but I find myself using 7zip more N more lately. :)

Hard to break the habit since I really only need 7zip to repackage .apk files, everything else WinRAR does nicely. I started since 1987 with PKARC, PKZIP, ARJ, then WinZip, WinRAR and 7-Z. 7-Z is new in my vocabulary even though I probably had it for 6+ years. Guess I need to start using it.

You should use what you're comfortable with...
