How are you trying to install 3.5? Are you doing so through Enable Windows Features? Or by downloading the installer? You can't can't just download the installer, as that won't work. You have to do so through Enable Windows Features.

I have same problem. Fresh windows installation.

I tried to download 64bit version of .NET 3.5 cab (cca 70MB) but no luck installing via dism. I also tried to do:

    Code:
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
    +
    Code:
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
restarting and trying to install via dism and Windows components but both fail on error:

    Code:
    An error occurred – Microsoft-Windows-NetFx3-OnDemand-Package Error: 0x800736b3
    Error: 14003
The referenced assembly is not installed on your system.
I searched trough internet many times and only one person said he actually fixed this by downloading .cab package containing ONLY 64bit .NET, that 70MB is said to be both 32/64bit version. But when I tried to find it I had no luck. I don't want to do a new installation because I'm developer and designer dependent on many software and utils, which require at least two-day post installation process to have everything I need for my work.

Hey raito, the only way I fixed it is by redownloading the os via Microsoft download tool and do a fresh install. I think there corrupted files in my previous windows file that makes installing framework is impossible.

Already tried, still gives me the same error. Also, the command:

    Code:
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
gives me this error on 40%:

    Code:
    Error: 0x800f081f

The source files could not be found.
Use the "Source" option to specify the location of the files that are required to restore
ion on specifying a source location, see http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=243077.
I tired what the links recommends, enabling that policy but again, no luck. It seems that I will have to spend two days reinstalling again.
