I'm looking for a GUI Windows tool for batch conversion of the subtitle codepages (e.g. Win1252 => UTF-8). I've been using Codepage Converter (https://sourceforge.net/projects/cp-converter/Codepage Converter) for quite a long time, but this software is quite old. Can you recommend something different?It would be ideal if the soft could also convert subtitle types, but it's not a must.
Plenty of options out there (Online and offline, paid and unpaid). Just because the developer has not updated it, means that they have not ran into any problems.
It's not for sure, but it's options-poor (it even doesn't support drag&drop), so I'm looking for something else.
There are actually not that many options, even though it seems so. Most of the tools I've tried recently won't actually change the codepage, but just save the file with different encoding and the "bushes" are still there making subs unreadable. So the options are really limited, hence my request.
Online options are mostly the same, though I've found that do the job as expected. The problem is that those that work don't support batches and require uploading and downloading single files.
In that case, I would roll my own with the code that is available, if you want something along those lines.
