Hover your mouse between the column headers until the mouse changes shape, then you can drag to change size.

This is weird, I know the trick for a long time but I can't do it right now...

The option "Size all columns to fit" is greyed out and this is maybe the problem QTTabBar Updates-2022-03-25_150418.jpg

That's because you are on List View rather than Details View.

Ok, thanks, now this is weird again : I changed to detail view and I can change column size, but when going back to list view, column size is still the same I set up, but folders are still truncated...QTTabBar Updates-2022-03-25_154628.jpg

Not sure what determines the column width in list view. I thought it was automatic.

As an experiment, I went to my WinXP computer, changed a folder view to list & made one of the file names very long. Windows Explorer also truncated the name in list view & there's no option to change the column size. If you hover the mouse over the truncated file, the entire name will be revealed, but I understand this can be a hassle.

Maybe it's a limitation of Windows itself???

In file explorer, rt click the column header. Click "Size column to fit" or "Size all columns to fit" as appropriate.
This will display the hole name for all.

Note that if you have any really long names this will mean your column may be very wide.

This was one of the first thing I checked of course, I changed the value to max (1024) yet and as you can see on my previous capture, the column is wider than folders name but latter are still truncated

-edit- as it peaked my curiosity, and while my folders were displayed on three columns, I maxed out my explorer window on an 1440p resolution monitor to display all folders on only one columns and...as you can see...same :
