Autoplay won't open in Windows 10.

Even after I changed all the default settings to 'Ask me every time'. The ' Tap to choose what happens with' box has opened in the 'Action Center' screen. I just can't get Autoplay to work at all, anybody else have to deal with this problem?

Hello D, and welcome to Ten Forums.

If you like, you could directly open AutoPlay, and choose the defaults you want. :)

    Thank you for the help,

But I think your not understanding my problem. I'm not receiving ANY Notification from Autoplay, it doesn't even seem to start or run. The only notification I get is in the Action Center box well after the attempt of using autoplay. Let me put it this way to you, I put in a DVD (I have a program) and nothing happens, I put in a usb nothing, iPod the same thing. I know how to set up autoplay but I didn't know about using the shift key so I learned something new today and will have to try it. Picture # 1 is the notification I should see, picture #2 is what I find in Action Center well after the attempt of trying to use a device. I understood what you meant. :)

I'm not sure why AutoPlay doesn't open when you click on the notice from inside the Action Center, but does if you click on the notification itself while showing.

What I posted was a workaround for you to directly set what you want to happen in AutoPlay. This way, the next time you connect the device, AutoPlay will perform what you set.

    Hi D RECK,

I have the exact same issue and I'm still waiting for a Solution

For the time being, I've downgraded back to Windows 8.1 Pro
