Hi, what is your Windows build? Windows key + R, winver.
Note this article about a new tool - I haven't worked out which build that relates to, but a change might relate to your problem.
Windows 10 is finally getting an improved screenshot tool - The Verge
If you have an older build e.g. 1709, then you may need to consider trying a repair e.g. running
SFC /SCANNOW
from an admin command prompt.
I've not come across comments related to the tool in a multi-monitor environment- others may have.
Meanwhile, there are plenty of screen capture programs around (free and commercial).
One I use is DuckCapture- the only free one I've found that captures scrolling pages successfully.
Yep I was going to suggest running a system file check too.
Does it work ok on the other 3 monitors ?
Have you tried running it from the Start menu? Does that look the same? I use it so often that if I click on Start and type a single S it is the top search result
If it works from Start, unpin it from the taskbar and pin it again.
HI : I ran sfc with no issues or errors . I have no option to click anything on the snip box , and it always opens up on the 4 th monitor .... windows version 1803
I have the Snipping Tool pinned to the Taskbar, suitable for most of my needs [as long as I don't try to snip the wrong thing].
