My concern about lowing the bit rate during capture is that it may introduce too many artifacts.

These original files... is that encoding being done on the fly by the capture device? That 4 gigs per file sounds a bit excessive.

I can't help you with your question... but I can say that the Win10 mail app is dreadful. If you've ever used a real email client like Thunderbird or Outlook... Win10's email app is like going back...
As I noted above, I got classic shell running... but it only happened after I was able to get rid of the PW on my account. At that point, Windows logged me out, and when I went back to desktop...
There are some other options to prevent this from happening again. Open DNS should block malware sites ( but I don't know if it's effective when direct IP address is used). There are IP blockers.......
