I wish I won't go through the hassle of returning items.
The battery of this laptop seems really off, it only lasts for like about an hour or so, without doing much. Guess I'll have it checked...
I've uninstalled McAfee already, still experiencing 100% disk usage. Programs are loading slow, sometimes not responding. I'll just get an SSD tomorrow and see if it still persists.
It's kind of odd because Overwatch isn't demanding. And I've seen benchmarks on reviews that it's running on Ultra smoothly.
My disk usage is, again, at 100% all the time. This is very...
If all else fails I'll just head back to the store and tell them the problem. Right now I'm maximizing what I can do if it's easily fix-able.
I'm planning on doing this. I don't really have a lot...
Thankfully, the laptop (Lenovo Y530) supports an additional slot for drives, so I guess I'll get a 250 SSD for Windows and business apps that I'm using and just store games or w/e on the HDD.
Yep, found it. I tried disabling it and so far the disk usage isn't going up to 100%. It does go to 50% when I load something heavy, but it's constantly now ~10%.
I guess disabling it helped me,...
Yeah I'll just get an SSD sooner than later. Also, I can't seem to find Superfetch it is not listed in the Services. I just hope it'll calm down after a week or two
Is it safe to disable it? I'll take a look at the link you provided, thanks.
I have a 5d replacement and 2yr service warranty. I've uninstalled McAfee already and I still get a high disk usage...
The System seems to be at the top constantly. Also here's a pic of my startup apps

Yeah it seems I'll be removing it. Don't know if I should just do a clean install or just remove it....
I'll do either that or just buy an SSD. Or maybe I'll wait it out and see if it persists longer than I anticipated.
The software that I have downloaded are similar to my PCs, all related to 3D...
Yeah I'll try to get rid of McAfee. Not sure if I should do a clean reformat. It seems Lenovo has a lot of bloatware pre-installed.
I've recorded a GIF of scrolling down the processes tab in the Task Manager. Here's the link:

A lot. Like a lot of processes are shown. Not sure which is needed and which is not, all of these are jargon to me. That's why I can't determine what is causing the issue.

I've fully updated Windows 10, have checked windows update and it stated I'm up to date. I've checked the Task Manager and yes, there's a lot of processes happening, but I really don't know which is...
I have the 5400 rpm drive. Is this the cause of the issue? Should I do a clean install of the OS to see if it persists. The battery is draining fast too, and I suspect it's because of the drive.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but here goes. My newly bought (4 days old) laptop (Lenovo Y530) is surprisingly slow. I'm not sure why, but opening, searching, and whatever task I do...
If that's the case then I should really get a new hard drive to prevent further problems if my hard drive fails on me sooner than expected. I have to be prepared for the worst since this kind of...
I just finished a 2 hour long test on my drive and Seatools repaired (or rather, move) the bad sectors. CrystalDiskInfo stated that the status of my drive is at caution and the description says...
That's good news. I'm currently running Seatools to see if it can somehow fix the bad sectors on my HDD, but I'm on the verdict of buying a new one.
Well here's a tool that's useful, thanks. I tried the Backup and Restore thing, but it gives me an error (new bad clusters found something) when creating a backup on my external HDD. Does this tool...
I just checked that my hard drive is failing. Fortunately, I can still use it at this moment and backed up everything, but there's one thing I want to back up which I don't know how to. If I were to...
Yeah, I guess. Doesn't matter though, I just removed it on my PC. It's not like I'm using it all the time, I actually only used it once. Thanks for the help!
It's weird since it's also the same for me, but it causes the crash.
Okay so I disabled the other extensions and to see if the problem persists, and lo and behold, the problem was gone. Then, I proceed to enable them one by one to find the culprit and found it. The...
Thanks for replying! Will check once I get home.
