Just pisses me off... no acknowledgement of an issue nothing....

I possibly wasted 6 hours trying to fix this... the system restore is not quite scorched earth although there are a few things I need to reinstall... it is better than a complete reinstall of...

For what it is worth I eventually resolved this with two system restores... but now I live in fear that windows is going to update itself to $%#&&^*

I have been fighting with this system for hours... IP no go, machinename no go... cannot access any windows shares from this machine, they can access mine... *Pulling hair out*
