How can I get DNG files to open with Windows Photo Viewer?
I've been using Windows 10 since the middle of last year and my default programs are the same now as they were when I set them. FWIW, Chrome is my default browser although I occasionally use Windows...
Someone had a solution that worked for me a year ago and it involved Cortana but included a step I don't remember. I do remember thinking, "Boy, I'd never have thought of that."
I'm just hoping...
I have Windows10 with dual monitors. When I start Windows the taskbar on Monitor 2 is visible and won't move. If I turn Cortana on and off it resumes auto-hiding but I have to do this every time I...
I have the standard Windows10 and Outlook2013. I don't normally send files so I selected one, a photo, and clicked on "send to mail recipient." After verifying the size of the photo a email window...
I tried Edge and finally went back to Chrome. One of my major problems was that the "back" button didn't work on the first try. Or the second or the third. The usually number required to go back was...
I think you miss the part about feeling superior.
I have a RH Websters Unabridged Dictionary from 1999 for which I haven't found a replacement. It ran fine with Windows 7 and worked with a minor problem in Windows 8.1. Now, if it's on a machine when...
It was easy enough that a 74-year old had no trouble making Chrome his default browser. And, gasp, he had no trouble changing his default search engine. Is Google going to complain now.
It's sad...
How can people make fun over this. My cousin who collected Beanie Babies might well start collecting apps. I can see a whole new market for collectable apps with themes. Apps inspired by romance...
I know you'll be excited to hear that my installation went without a hitch, took less than an hour, and has one very minor problem. I really like Windows 10.
I have one minor problem. The taskbar on my second monitor won't auto-hide. So, never having run SFC Scannow I decided to give it a try. I started it and when I saw how long it took to go from 1% to...
I don't really care as long as it doesn't require a touch screen.
I'm just curious. For those who feel, or know, their Windows 10 is slow, what OS were you using when your upgraded?
Bingo. It's an Edge problem. I really like Windows 10 but I don't have Edge on my taskbar.
But, we don't have a dual-display forum. When I have a taskbar on my secondary monitor it will not...
And, so many of the complaints are so incredibly petty.
I think my problem was mixing Outlook 2013 and Word 2003. My problem is I like Outlook 2013 and detest Word 2013.
Oh, I can't send emails directly from Word 2003 to Outlook 2013 now. I could...
This morning after breakfast at 5 a.m. and walking my dog at 7, I decided to give it another go. I got my MS Office 2003 disk and set about trying installing Word again. I'd tired a half-dozen times...
Thanks. I'll take a look.
I'm old. When I was working I wasn't much for collaboration and now, not at all. I don't want to do layouts or exotic document designs. For years I used Windows Office 2003 and was happy. I could...
Mine did import favorites. I don't recall the process because it went fine. I only remember glitches.
Slow is a relative term. My Dell desktop take 31 second to load to flash screen. Windows 8.1 took almost a minute. Programs, internet pages, all seem to load faster than my computer did with Windows...
I don't think you can. The time and system tray only show on the primary monitor. That's the same as it was in Windows 8.1 and 7.
Overall I'm delighted with Windows 10 but I have one relatively minor problem with my dual monitors. The taskbar on the second monitor won't auto-hide. It just sits there.
Any suggestions?
I was amazed. I got up at 1 a.m.--I'm old--and I turned on the computer without much hope but I was asked if I wanted to install Windows 10. Forty-five minutes later I was running. Not a single...
