I ended up just downloading a fresh win10 install and that worked just fine, thanks for trying to help.

No change, I dont think it is in the configuration because it cant find the image. I am going to try to download windows and see if that works.

Yes, it is there, but for some reason the recovery software is not finding any image when in my laptop. I even put another image of a different laptop on the drive and it doesn't see that one either....

Well diskpart now can see the drive, but I am still unable to restore windows.

Well, its a laptop, so there is no other port to try. I will get another usb and try that tool.

It is in AHCI and there is no setting to turn on or off the sata port that I can find.

Is it possible that the new drive might not be formatted properly for diskpart to see it?
