Disappointing. They're withholding the program updates and releasing only the security updates. :( I have to earthly idea why or how it would affect anything if they offered real updates.
In my...
I updated my PC 3-4 days ago with KB4551762, and there was nothing unusual, no update notifications. Then suddenly, it updated KB4551762 again today. I don't know if the update is the same or has...
Finally addressing File Explorer issues! Now if they would only make the File Explorer conform to themes. The bright white makes me snow blind. :chuckle:
An alternative is to get a us $25.00 M.2 NVME USB adapter that will use any common M.2 NVME drive. A 2TB M.2 drive costs about us $300.The drive adapter kit is about 1/2 the size of the Samsung. I...
MS warns you about cleaning your registry, telling you it's unnecessary. Yet when you install then uninstall program A, B, and C, then check the registry, there could be hundreds of obsolete and...
Though I never had any problems with CCleaner, I haven't used it since I discovered HiBit Uninstaller (with many utilities) about a year ago.
Still nothing, maybe they pulled it because of problems reported here.
Nothing for me! :(
(1903 18362.295)
Wonder if MS pulled this one?
I use 1903 and the latest minor patch. Since day 1 using 1903, it doesn't display my theme colors reliably. My theme is pretty generic, so is my graphics card. Never had this problem before. About 1...
Clear tiles! I want it!
I find the same thing. Probably a glorified clearance sale to get rid of slow moving merchandise. I have a wish list as long as my arm, I will check it tomorrow in hopes...
KB4507453 updated 1903 in a flash on my desktop. No problems.
I had 1809 on my HP laptop, because Windows refused to download updates beyond 1809. This update made it compatible I suppose, and...
Haha installed twice, but seems OK.
The winner will be the one with the best ad blocking ability, the least fluff, and the best choice of extensions.
You're right margrave, I got the speed mixed up. Thought is was over 1gb/sec. It's only 160mb/sec/. My SSD does 600mb/sec. Some of the M.2 SSD's are getting 1.2gb/sec., but only on benchmarks.
Though the size is a benefit, I imagine few computers and devices can take advantage of the speed. Can't wait for the trickle-down to SSD's.
I used to get 2-3 calls per week from these scammers, haven't had a call in months. I guess they put me on their "do not mess with this guy" list.
Using the original 1809, but with no issues. Updated the 2 KBBs with no issues.
Flying in at 112mbps. I didn't think it would be available until Oct 31, bad guess!
Not available on WU for me on 9/21 11am CDT. That's very unusual, I usually get updates right away. Manually updated, and all is well. That was a honking big update, no doubt there will be another...
Broke my Youtube sound, using Chromium-based browser. Aggravating!:(
Edit: It only muted my browser in the Sound Mixer, so it's sort of a false alarm.
No surprise that MS would try to mute...
Bree, it showed up twice for me too, but installed only once, no problem.
This was a very minor update, I guess MS is picking nits getting ready for the big one.
I'm guessing there will be a bug bashing release in 2-3 weeks.
Pretty sure the Oct. update will be Oct. 31, so they should have called it the Nov. update.
