WARNING to anyone out there...
i guess i am screwed
can't believe a simple name change would do all of this
ok, thanks!
catch 22 - can't get in unless i sign on as administrator
what will happen if i can do a system restore... will i lose files / programs?
did i ever mention i am running windows 10 or was that assumed?
all i did was change the pc name now i am screwed
nope
esc key not working
all i see is F2 setup or F4 recovery
and the bios screen looks nothing like the instruction manual
i'm at a loss now
here is what is on the flash drive
not sure if everything is there
38%x
Samsung NP300E5A
i really appreciate this!
so frustrated!
i tried but i can't get it to go to that screen
i hit all the function keys and it just keeps loading to windows 10
i even tried the esc key... nothing will let me in
only 3 options show up when I boot from flash drive (no "use a device" option). I'm pretty sure I followed how to make a usb windows 10 iso
not sure what to do now.
ok, i have flash drive - how do i boot from it to get to opt 4
ok
i think i have a usb flash drive
what do i do next?
what would i need to do if i use another computer?
can i do from my computer?
no, it is from inside windows
i don't have a usb or recovery drive (can't create one without admin permission)
it says "you currently don't have permission to access this folder when i try to open the config folder.
I really appreciate this!!
the admin password i use to use when i was the administrator didn't work so i couldn't get in
the current account is still guest
I don't think that's the problem.
I can get into the laptop using the same password as I did before.
What happened was it went from admin to guest and from domain to workgroup
I didn't think that...
i cant remember the admin password
I changed the PC name and now I have no admin access so I am locked out of making any changes.
how can I change it back?
or am I hooped... :(
