thanks, i was considering deleting the partition but i guess ill just keep it.

i assume an upgrade created a 3rd partition for recovery purposes
and a full clean install does not?

this is strange however, i am used to windows making 2 partitions, not 3...

it does hold the windowsRE i used the program stated and it contains files pertaining to recovery and troubleshooting,

so the 450mb file is of no real use?

ok so it holds the WindowsRE. i thought windows only created 2...

The issue was because of incorrect registry keys, i have fixed and tinkered with a few things and the errors dont come up anymore.

No corrupt files, system is stable.
its just errors in the event log that bug me (no pun intended), they always annoy me even if theyre benign.

no hardware issue, no problems / errors in eventlog with win7, my build is custom, built by myself i do routine checks to make sure everything is in working order.

yes, this is one of the first things i do when installing / upgrading OS's
i even did a clean install, which still showed the errors up, the NLS error is one that frequently comes up.

This doesnt solve the CAUSE of the problems...
