Hello,
Just wanted to know whether it was possible to auto hide the Win10 taskbar after X number of seconds or minutes?
Does anyone know how to do this?
Cheers!
On previous versions of Windows, on the main login screen, where all the user accounts are displayed, Windows would inform us whether a user account is signed in (or not). However, on Windows 10,...
Awesome, that did the trick thanks.
For some reason the shortcut route didn't quite work in Scheduled Tasks (although the shortcut works fine by itself), but using the actual path in the Scheduled...
Just tested it, "screen timeout" blanks my screen.
I can't use the screen timeout feature, since the problem with that is, because it's a family computer used for education, work and games, people will think the computer is turned off, so they'll...
Is it possible for Win 10 to ask me for a password after X minutes of inactivity, post running of screensaver?
Specifically, I want a screensaver to run after 2 minutes inactivity, BUT I only...
I did actually, but it didn't work.
This morning I tried it again, and it did work.
Mind you, it probably didn't work last night because I had around 30 windows in the taskbar, as opposed to...
This is bugging me at the moment.
I'm stumped concerning how to maximise all windows that are all minimised in the taskbar.
Any ideas? Cheers.
Thanks. And appreciate your time.
Will mark as solved.
Would you believe it? I just uninstalled the driver in Device Manager, which automatically removed the ATA Channel, and re-scanned for hardware changes. Voila, SSD now showing up.
Tried Samsung's Magician, doesn't detect the SSD.
How would I install IRST? So far, I have downloaded the drivers, extracted them from the zip onto my desktop.
Nope, not listed.
About half an hour ago I checked to see whether it's faulty, so ran it as a primary drive in AHCI mode. Win10 installed perfectly, in just a few minutes. So drive is fine.
Well, no success after installing all the chipset drivers. Win10 still can't detect the SSD, even though BIOS does.
It's an Intel chipset, motherboard is this:
ASRock > H61M-VS
I'm now installing the drivers and will restart.
Alright, someone else posted a similar question on Microsoft's forums, where they said to run the Troubeshooter, which I did.
The good news is that the Troubleshooter found the errors.
The bad...
Yes, I checked Diskmgmt.
Yep, it shows in the BIOS just fine. It's a Samsung 750 Evo.
Hmmm, my secondary SSD isn't showing up in Windows. Disk Manager just shows the primary HDD.
Obviously I can't run in AHCI mode, because the HDD will fail to boot Windows.
Okay, so I've bought a SSD recently, and put it in my desktop as a secondary drive (for storage).
However, it's not showing up.
My primary drive is a traditional HDD, so BIOS is running in IDE...
1. Naah, I'm definitely using it mate.
2. Really? Well thanks for clearing that up.
3. No need, I'm clear that Win 8 OEM is legit.
True, but does that then mean the system builder is allowed to use it for personal use? Here is where I'm not sure.
What I am sure however, is that doing this with Win 8 OEM is totally legit....
Still not convinced Win 10 OEM is the right thing.
MS does say concerning, "Building a PC for personal use licensing" for Win 10, that "Full packaged retail product is needed."
But for Win 8,...
Hmmm, good point. Perhaps you're right. Thing is, you'd have to have the intention to sell.
Because the whole point is that Win 10 OEM is illegal unless you're a system seller.
But Win 8 OEM is actually legal for personal use, thus a cheap way to get Windows 10 for free.
