Have you by any chance disabled the "let apps run in the background"-setting in your privacy settings? Doing that will cause problems for search and indexing.

Slight update in case anyone else has the same problem: Turns out installing the intel rapid driver was only half the solution, it only fixed the problem for warm boots but not for cold boots....
