What do you mean by 'not upgradeable'? If you're referring to the power supply being 180w then I can understand the concern that it may not be enough after buying an aftermarket GPU. To be fair, that...

No problem!
Ah, I see. I didn't know this, apologies. I'm guessing that the update removed the old photo viewer and that's why he's getting missing DLL errors.
You don't even have to do anything like that. Just right click on the photo you want to view, choose Open With>Windows Photo Viewer. Like I said in my previous post, the Windows 7 photo viewer is...
Totally agree with essenbe here
Actually, Alienware are quite overpriced for the hardware they actually have in them, and to be honest it'll probably pretty overkill for what your daughter will use it for. I would recommend having...
They didn't remove the Windows 7 version of Photo Viewer, they just added a 'newer' metro app version called Photos, you can still view photos using the old viewer which I still use. It's been said...
Steam is just a platform to buy games from, the fact the games have been bought from Steam doesn't affect the requirements of your PC. The quad-core i5 CPU is actually pretty decent and more than...
He's not asking how to view a photo, he said in his post that when he tries to open photos he gets an error message saying that PhotoViewer.dll isn't installed.
If a Dynamic Link Library (DLL)...
Ah well, that's fair enough then. Your original post didn't mention that you'd done any research prior so I assumed that you didn't, apologies.
I'm not too sure about Final Draft or wireless...
I wouldn't say there was a 'best' music player, it's purely down to preference. I prefer to use foobar2000, though.
Have you checked to see if your USB 3.0 driver is up to date? Windows 10 definitely does support USB 3.0 so it sounds more like a driver or hardware issue.
An advantage of an external HDD is the portability, but it's purely down to preference and how you will use the extra 1TB drive, there isn't really a definitive answer to your question.

I'd suggest reading up on how to copy files from one place to another, I found a page here that explains it:
How to copy files
Who ever copied those books from the USB to the computer didn't actually do a copy, they more likely just moved the files from the USB to the computer, which obviously removed the files from the USB....
It isn't really a case of Microsoft ironing out bugs with Windows 10. If you'd have taken a little time to research which of your important programs were actually compatibile with Windows 10 as well...
No problem, hope you have a good weekend too!
Have you tried updating VLC Media Player to the lateset version?
Hi Buck,
Whenever we get new Dell laptops in for our users at work, we remove Dell back up and recovery and it hasn't caused any issues at all so far. If you already have a method of backing up...
Great point KACI, that actually should work perfectly.
Seally, I think you're always going to run into this problem while you're using two drastically different displays (4K and 1080p). Hopefully the option to have two different display scalings on...
I'm in the process of upgrading user PC's to Windows 10 at my company and I've yet to run into any sort of issue you've described.
As DeaconFrost said, upgrade issues are usually caused by...
Hi Seally,
I've had this issue with a few of my users using multiple monitors. The only fix for it that I've found is that you need to have the same display scaling on both displays i.e....
