I ended up updating the the latest amd radeon crimson edition drivers,
installing the current chipset drivers
and updating the bios.

So I figured out that it was a combo of problems with the set up.
1. video card driver was not exactly stable.
2. chipset drivers were out of date.
3. BIOS was out of date and didnt fully support...

that makes sense.

The only Driver I was able to update was the ethernet driver.
What I beleive happened is that the logitech driver was being updated during a skype call causing a crash....

It looks like the video settings in whatever config utility you are using are set to really crush blacks. try messing with the settings in the video config utility made by whatever GPU manufacturer...
