Thanks for the confirmation, then i'll skip this build.
I mean these settings in the "NVIDIA control panel".
Moving the sliders had no visible effect in the last builds.

Can somebody please test, if the brightness and contrast sliders in the Nvidia control panel work meanwhile?
They didn't function in the last builds.
Thanks.
Clean install.
Nvidia Control-Panel: Brightness + Contrast settings have no function.
Jepp, dito on three, hardware-wise completely different machines.
And, of course the task manager bug.
Wonder why MS didn't fix these well known bugs, before they've released the final build...
thanks for your replies, sadly as expected...
So I will wait until 1809 is released, make a backup and after that do a clean install.
Hi guys,
as the headline says, any chance to move to the regular builds (1809 when it is released) without setting everything up new from scratch?
Something like an inplace-up/downgrade?
I'm on...
EDIT: This does not happen on my VMware installation.
All settings remain saved!
On my notebook installation, the settings are always reseted after a reboot/logout.
Same ISO, both times a fresh...
Dito.
Happens only after a clean install, but not after an "inplace upgrade".
gosh wtf..
EDIT: additionally, no start menu settings are saved.
If you pin something to the start menu, it won't...
It's better than nothing, but the font size ratio between W32 and Store Apps does not fit.
Text in apps is sometimes gigantic, while text in W32 applications or settings is still too small for my...
When entering the "full-screen mode" via F11, an annoying notification pops up at the bottom of the browser window every time.

And yes, meanwhile I know how to leave the full screen mode, so...
So far so good, but what about shortcuts, which were pinned to the start-menu from inside an app?
For example, I'm using the "Zattoo" live-stream app.
Command, which works well:

It's probably because I've patched the theme...
I've changed one colour "themewide" with Windows Style Builder (latest) and I assume, this messed up the .msstyle file somehow.
The original theme...
Correction: it works half.
Title bar colour is still changed to "blue" and an "unsaved theme" is created, when starting task-manager.
This sucks, and after some googling, it seems, this problem...
Yes, I can confirm that, using "UxStyle_0242_x86_x64_preview", the theme breaks after sleep or hibernation.
The theme also breaks, when starting taskmanager.
But there must be some other apps,...
A new Cortana animation, a "flash disabled" pop-up notification and some "fixes", most user will never notice...but still no options to customize the system font or app fonts e.g. nor a fix for the...
Is an ISO or ESD somewhere available?
Seems to be a build which is worth testing after a bunch of boring "Bugfix Only Builds".
:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:
Hi guys.
Only from curiosity, are there any new features or at least something interesting in this build?
Or just new, boring bugs, like in the last builds?
Dito!
Just a lot of time-wasting atm (last 3-4 months)...imho.
For who?
For a well paid, professional "bug-hunting" team probably?
But I really doubt, that the average "update-screenshot poster" is interested in bug-hunting...
Especially, when the bugs are...
just "app updates" and a few more bugs...
Ridiculous.
Can anyone remember, when we last got real new/interesting features?
Six months ago, or more?
Just one more, boring "bugfix only" build, to skip.
Hope they will start to implement some new features sooner or later, especially adjustable "system-fonts" for the "Metro" part.
Btw: whats so...
This works since 15 years or more, but the thread is about the UWP app...
Has somebody tried to play streams from Internet or via smb:// from your NAS?
Impossible in my case, VLC crashes immediately.
Only local content can be played (most of the time).
