DirectX is bugged in fullscreen mode. Games are unplayable. Workaround is to switch to windowed or borderless windowed.

Disabling the page file is the only thing that fixed the restart/shutdown/log out bug for me. If I reenable it the bug comes back.

Edit: this does not appear to work every time.

I did not, but I have used DDU to uninstall them in safe mode multiple times. Still doesn't work.
