i did found a work around today... instead of restarting or shutting down the laptop i leave it to sleep on it's own and when i press power button to wake it up everything stays the same desktop...

and now the issue came back.. i have setup desktop icons small and it becomes mediums size again and keeps arranging on it's own after reboot just like what happen in the past.. this just happened...

i decided to reset windows 10.. wipe all including drivers... it's worth it.. it worked for me.. icons stays small and sort the way i want it every reboot... but until now i am still installing all...

i tried rebuilding the iconcache.db using this guide over here. but still no luck... yeah i'm done using this DesktopOK application, didn't work for me.. i saved and restore but it will only blink...
