Same here - both in Edge and Chrome
Thanks
Have an ASUS ROG Strix Z590E mobo, and an Intel i7-11700K CPU, with Intel UHD Graphics 750 on order. Is it possible to install Win 10 and utilize the onboard graphics since video cards are scarce and...
Worked! - Thank You
Did a clean install of Windows 10 and updated it to the version shown.
Trying to eliminate the need for p/w at sign in, I ran netplwiz as I have always done.
Top USER ACCOUNTS is from the Install...
Thanks for the replies. I'm going to finish setting it up the way I want it and then decide what to do battery wise based on info here - thanks - will be bookmarking this thread.
Just purchased a:
HP - Spectre x360 2-in-1 15.6" 4K Ultra HD Touch-Screen Laptop
Wondering if leaving it plugged in all the time will hurt the battery.
99.9% of the time it is on my desk.
Also -...
Yes I do.
A buddy of mine who built an identical AMD machine came to the same conclusion.
Not a comment on which chip is better - FYI
I think I get it now....I like the Intel machine better - ;)
I agree that "speed" is not an exact science by any means.
The whole point of the AMD build was to use the Gen 4 PCIe speed - the drives in the AMD build all benchmark at the 5000/4400 read/write...
If I recall correctly - both are set to 100 - does that sound right?
Lots of uncharted territory here for me.
Thanks for the reply - I don't understand your answer - :o
Have an AMD desktop machine - RYZEN 7 3800X CPU on a ASUS AMD AM4 ROD StrixX-570 mobo:
2 Gigabyte Aorus 1 TB Gen 4 M2 drives
Also have an Intel Desktop - Intel Core i7-9700K on a ASUS ROG Strix...
Seagate FireCuda 520 M.2 2280 1TB PCIe Gen4 x4,
GIGABYTE AORUS NVMe Gen4 SSD 1TB M.2
I have 2 of the Seagate drives and the Gigabyte drive in a PCIe slot with an adapter - all hit the expected...
Thanks pparks1 - the 4.9 doesn't seem to be a realistic goal - a water cooler is something I'd like to avoid.
On a positive note the PCIe Gen 4 M2 SSDs I installed all hit their advertised bench...
Putting a AMD Ryzen 73800X CPU on an ASUS AMD AM4 ROG Strix X570-E mobo and would like to OC the CPU - 4.9GHz would be my goal. My research tells me the CPU cooler that comes with the CPU is not...
Good point - ordered item in bobkn's post - Type C.
By sliding the computer to the left, I can reach the back with very little effort - who'd a thunk it - :o
When all else fails - Keep it Simple
I do this whenever it is possible.
ETA - love your signature -
Thanks Infrasonic - have seen a couple of them and they ain't cheap.
Another option I am considering is using a USB extension cable from back port to front of case. Right to left in above picture.
Thanks to both of you for the suggestion and correction. Your suggestion bobkn is pretty much what I am looking for, would prefer a Type A port, if possible. Now that I have the correct terminology,...
I'd like to add a USB 3.1 Gen 2 header to my computer, As the pic shows, the case is pretty open and mounting a header, if that is the right term, should be fairly easy.
The "front" of the case,...
I d/l Canary Build and it installed separately - can have both running at the same time. When I open the Canary Build it suggested I turn off Developer option for better results - I did.
Just did same - pleasntly surprised.
@bookfox - had those drivers - thanks
Caledon Ken - you nailed it my friend - set preferred band to 5GHz and the speed is there
Thanks to all......................
