My System Restore turned off after the November update (aka version 1511) was installed. Thankfully I noticed it after only a few days and turned it back on. The update made other changes as well.

Thanks Brink! I was concerned because an article I saw (not one of yours ;) ) said a recovery drive would need close to 8 GB. Feel better now.
Just created a new recovery drive using a 16 GB USB flash drive. No issues and it will boot the computer.

I created a USB Recovery drive and have since been updated to Build 1511, aka November Update. Do I need to create a new recovery drive?
Good news! I was afraid there would be no fix since it looks like this problem dates back to Windows 8.
Is there a KB number or something so I can try to force my update?

I just came across Winaero Tweaker (winaero.com). Only tried the shortcut arrow option which worked for me. Haven't tried the other options. Anyone else have any experience with this freebie?

I discovered that after running the reg file to remove the shortcut arrow completely I couldn't pin programs to the taskbar. After restoring the default arrow I could. Strange!
