Got a pro to look at the situation. The problem was I was being disconnected even though it looked like I was online! Not worth the hassles, back with Windows 7 and everything works fine!

Don't have a Windows 7 cd either as it came loaded on my laptop when I bought it.
thanks Bazz but, I don't have a CD as I downloaded Windows 10 from Microsoft online. Also I think it's the Microsoft Account password it wants.

All I can see is the enter password space, the connection icon (which says I am connected ) and the in on to shutout or restart my computer. I am using my iPad now and obviously it is connected to...
Did anyone resolve this? I reset my Microsoft acct. password but still can't get to start menu. Says I am offline but am sure I am connected. Wifi is working ok for my tablet.
