Yep, I am still waiting as well.
I know I could always use the MCT, but what's the fun in that?

Still waiting. I refuse to update manually. I am stubborn that way.
My son's computer already updated automatically.
I smell no sign of the update yet.
It's hard to ascertain the algorithm Microsoft utilizes to determine the update queue.
Apparently, it was just me.
Come to think of it, perhaps it's the Steam update that triggered the instability. It still doesn't explain the crash that occurred on the same day before the Steam...
My Windows 10 installation has never crashed until this evening. And it did it twice in an hour.
The first time it crashed to BSOD when starting Steam.
The second time it froze completely...
Don't hold your breath, lest you die from asphyxiation.
I guess what I am looking for is a list of most commonly used commands people use directly from the Start Menu/Button.
I only know of "winver" and "reli", but I am sure there are lots more. These...
Actually, I am not referring to the Run command.
But thanks for trying to clarify.
Sorry, I meant programs. I still can't distinguish between the traditional programs and apps. They are technically all programs after all.
Programs are clearly listed and installed, but some of...
Thank you.
I am aware of the search nature of this feature. What I am referring to are the non-app shortcuts. All of your examples are apps, which are already quite apparent.
Things like...

I tried finding a list of all the shortcut commands from the Start Menu, but I do not see one anywhere.
For example, I already know by typing "winver", I go directly to the version information...

In addition, if you do not leave your PC plugged in, it would be constantly draining the CMOS battery. A year is still too soon though,...
Even though I am tech savvy, the medical group tends to lag behind. We still have Windows 7. There's no plan to upgrade to Windows 10 at this point.
At least it's not Windows XP.
Check your regional setting and keyboard layout.
I am sure you can get Windows 10 to run with 1 GB of RAM, but it doesn't mean you should.
Unless you enjoy self-flagellation, running Windows 10 on a more optimal system would be preferable.
It's possible to play virtually any game at max graphics settings, but performance varies depending on your hardware specs.
Your budget is low, so you have to be realistic about what kind of setup...
I believe I am not the only one having difficulty understanding what you are describing.
What does the update screen look like? A screenshot would be invaluable. Which app is it?
The more...
Microsoft is behaving more and more like Apple, where a completely closed system has always been the culture.
Steve Jobs thought all users are idiots and untrustworthy to make their own decisions...
Go ahead and install the Conexant one. It's the most recently updated driver for your laptop.
Unfortunately, that's correct.[/COLOR]
I am sure GLaDOS would concur.

We had a great night trick-o-treating with our son. He was a zombie . . .now a sleeping zombie.
