Though I've run with a hidden taskbar since Win 95 and I have the issue so shouldn't I have already avoided this?
I'll give icon spacing a go and report back.
EDIT: No change in behaviour.

Sadly icon spacing isn't the issue I'm having or the issue the OP was about. They just need to get their act in gear and fix the wild movement of icons. I should be able to drag a stack of icons into...
This issue is driving me mad! When I'm doing any sort of work from home I tend to keep all my files on the desktop for ease until the project is over. Not only can I no longer 'bulk move' icons...
Hey there, you may see from the last handful of posts in this thread that we did find a workaround which prevents the crashing.
If you go to device manager, then under "Storage Controllers" find...
Yeah my affected PC is just a few hours away from 7 days of up time now. Very glad.
I actually found a way to auto login to Windows after a restart the same day I found the alternate driver fix,...
Well that's good you've had no crashes at least. Hopefully Microsoft/Nvidia will get around to fixing the issue in the near future though at least for now it's nice not having to worry about the...
Yeah that's pretty much the same as how mine looks now after changing the drivers manually. My affected PC has now passed 50 hours up time. Will keep my fingers crossed you have similar results.
Well I've just gone in and checked and found this in the task manager.

It's the first time since the 1607 update that the PC has passed approximately 24 hours and 15 minutes without...
Yeah I noticed they were also talking about graphics in that thread but the guy in the post I was referring to seemed to solely be talking about the SATA controller which is the issue I'm having,...
Just found a suggested 'fix' in another thread here, second last post. I've gone through and switched all relevant drivers on the PC suffering from this and will see how it goes in just over 24...
Whilst that would help prevent further corruption (the last two days after the crashes the PC hasn't even reached Windows again without a manual reset of the power) it sadly doesn't help me out much...
Several updates later and this is still happening. My system is now starting to become rather unstable due to the daily crashing and I've actually had to repair a few off my programs because they...
Hoping Microsoft fix this soon. Having the same issue on my home server PC which updated to 1607 a couple of weeks ago and now crashes and reboots every 24 hours and some odd minutes. It's running an...
Ahh ok, apologies. I'm just glad I can eventually rely on Photo Viewer again.
Thanks for this! This issue has been bugging me for months now since upgrading to Win 10 and I just could not find a reason for it happening. Added these reg entries has got it working as it should...
Any update on this?
I still can't run any programs at startup which require administrator privileges. I've also noticed my anti spyware software is affected by this and I have to keep manually...
Glad it worked for you too. :)
I spent ages trying to figure that one out, it looks like any programs set to 'run as administrator' were causing the error.
I'm having issues with any programs which "Run as Administrator" loading at startup.
Steam and Rainmeter are the two which are really annoying me just now. If I use the aero tweak tool to...
I had the same issue, found a solution on another site which is very random but works.
Right click your volume control (bottom right) and select 'Sounds'. Set your sound scheme to 'no sounds'. You...
