Well I turned the firewall off and it still did it.
I see your point.... It said 'Fail to open file. Check to see if file can be accessed'
Yes, pain the neck isn't it..... I think what I might have to do is to wait for another Firefox update and just use Edge to upload the one thing I am having a problem with.
Thanks for that, I will give it a try. I am thinking of reloading Firefox and see if that fixes it.
OK, and if the problem is that the default browser cannot be changed to Firefox for some reason then we are locked in a problem as a previous man said. Thanks.
OK, thanks for that, I will have a poke about and see if there is a problem there.
OK, I can upload it with Edge. It is either a Firefox problem or a collision between Firefox and Win10. I have noticed that it will not let me set Firefox as the default browser in settings. Have...
Good point. I will have a try, thanks.
Hello. It is to Podbean, my podcast host. I am using Firefox. This must be a Firefox issue
OK, so the sound side is sorted, but I still cannot get the machine to read and upload an MP3 file. These files were created before the latest install and used to read/upload no problem. I can play...
You are a genius.... Why didn't I think of that?!!! The new Win10 installation changed the setting. By going into the system section and 'sound' and changing the default setting for the sound...
Hello. Thanks. Strangely we have another factor just appeared. The machine is not playing YouTube videos or online vids, only the pics. There is something wrong with the sound generally from...
OK, but how is it that Win10 would play the MP3 file once, now none of those mentioned things will play the files they used to play, weird
Hello, (love your icon picture), yes, I have the LAME encoder or I could not save it as an MP3 from the raw recording...... However, now, following the downloading and installing of the updated...
Hello guys, fancy a go at this one?
I have had to reinstall Win10 to cure a problem with importing pics and videos from an SD card, so it is all a squeaky clean installation. Now it won't play...
Oh well......... I did look at that, but it only offered a list of things to autoplay with, not a photo/video downloader.... All is fixed now....
Hello. Sure, I can copy the files over but for some reason they do not appear as they should at destination. I have had to reload Win10, and now it works as it used to, recognising the file types...
I don't think it is a file type thing, as I am not offered an 'open with' option when I click on the contents of the H drive. Normally there would be an option there of 'import pictures/videos' I...
If I look at the files on the SD card it only gives me two folders and it is not recognising them as video. If I copy and paste them I only get DCIM and PRIVATE files but cannot open them.
As I...
I am trying to download video from my SD card onto my machine. Win10 is not offering me any way of doing that. It should detect the card reader and card in it, and then offer to download the files...
I am getting very annoyed with this, and I am sure that someone else has had this.
Initially Win10 would happily detect my card reader plugged in the USB and download the video, albeit to the pics...
Yes, couldn't disagree with that; should have left Win7 on the machine. Never mind.....
OK, well I have to download the software first, and then have a go. Being on satellite internet means I have a data limit......
All I can say is that it worked. Some suggested above downloading the ISO tool to create a boot disc, do you use that?
