Hello.
Since upgrading to Windows 10, my touchpad is not working properly any more. It's not that the touchpad isn't working at all or that I can't move or control the pointer. I say it isn't...
Yes. It says that no reinstall is required, just downloading what is needed to unlock the Pro features.
Thank you all for your replies.
Is Windows 10 Home just Windows 10 Pro with some features disabled? So, for example, if I go to change the product key and enter a Pro key, will it be converted or would I have to go through...

Maybe Total Commander is not yet compatible with Windows 10.
Did your copy of Windows 10 activate? If so, you can try doing a clean install.
I did install Windows 10 a few months ago on VirtualBox, one of the technical previews. I actually thought it worked well.
But now that I have upgraded and have been using it all the time... it...
It was the first thing I disabled after I upgraded, followed by the Action Center.
By the way, as pointed out previously, removing the Cortana folder also removes the ability to search from the...
Thanks.
As a matter of fact, I don't need to click on "Windows Defender" because I don't even use it. I was just pointing out the bug. I'd say the app shouldn't crash at all.
I thought it was supposed to do a full shutdown.
Whenever I go to the "Settings" app, then click on "Update & security" and then, if I immediately click on "Windows Defender", after a few seconds the app crashes.
Option Two seems to do a hybrid shutdown in my case.
In a way. I mean, the glitch is not present when I'm not in the bedroom, where the router is.
I should try putting the router somewhere else to see if that actually has anything to do with it. To...
Do you mean my router? That has always been in the bedroom and I never had any sound glitches with Windows 7. And yes, it's a laptop.
I have a similar problem, but in my case I've found that it has nothing to do with the browser window being active or minimized (I use Firefox, not Google Chrome). It only happens when the computer...
Well, I've disabled everything there is to disable and these two processes are still showing up. I really don't think there's anything else I can do, save for deleting the two files.
Well, I still haven't found out what these two processes are for. One reply that I did get in another forum saying that these processes "finish building install caches, optimizing system files, and...
No, I meant the processes still pop up, as in the Task Manager.
Yes, I do have that program, thank you.
But I'm not trying to determine which processes are causing high CPU use. I already know it's those two processes. Rather, I want to find out if I can...
Hello.
I had mentioned in an earlier post that since I upgraded a laptop to Windows 10, the CPU fan kept running on high all the time. I found out the cause of the problem were these two...

Thank you all for taking the time to reply and thank you for your ideas.
I want to say that I never meant to imply that Windows 10 had simply "decided" to increase the speed of the CPU fan....
Hello, everyone.
I have posted this in other forums, too, in the hopes of getting some ideas.
I recently installed Windows 10 on a desktop computer and everything went as smoothly as it could...
