You’re right. “a bit too technical” is an understatement. In settings, it’s identified as “Let apps use my advertising ID etc.” An example of how things are identified is “Microsoft Windows Windows Mail Microsoft Corporation c:\program files\windows mail\winmail.exe 7/15/2016 8:25 PM”
I have no way to associate “Let apps” with anything like e.g. Windows Mail” listed in Autoruns.

And “Privacy Nightmare” is where I am with this.
Obviously, I’m just a dummy user and have no interest in becoming an expert. I just need to get on with mundain, daily stuff like paying my bills online, and it’s beginning to look like spending days trying to figure this out will result in my bills being paid late.
