cant get by innitial bios start screen

Don't think I ever had an issue like this...per attached jpg when I went to restart the PC last night...system freezes at the attached point...keyboard and/or mouse do not respond to this screen...never has happened before

Tried different wireless and USB direct key boards and/or changing USB ports and keyboard batteries....nothing works ?

I have very recent Acronis system backups...but obviously can't try that because the startup bios screen won't respond to mouse or keystrokes ? No response to Delete key or F2 key

Any suggestions on what may be occurring and how to get the initial bios startup screen to respond to mouse or keyboard input ?

Tried removing/reinstalling mb cmos battery but no luck...

    Thanks...TiminAz

I have read your entire post so please excuse my question if it seems that you covered the answer already. From where you are have you tried to press restart on the PC case and immediately start start pressing F2 repeatedly?

Thanks Rocky...seems like I was/am able to get the system going again without the bios freeze. This is apparently a long time issue and covered in lots of posts around the net but wasn't able to find anything on TenForums searches. Really weird since I owe humongous appreciation to TenForums (guys link Brink - you -and others for amazing help in the past going back to SevenForums !!

Not saying I understand this...but issue apparently has to due with other hard-drives in the system...best I can tell in a multi HDD drive system, if a drive goes bad or at least has issues (not boot drive) it can freeze the bios when starting PC. Since I have multiple hard drives...I disconnected all but boot drive and system started right up. I attached one by one til I found the culprit...if disconnected...system boots fine.

Unfortunately...the problem drive is my documents/downloads/pictures, etc drive Hopefully I can get access back to this drive...pretty sure I have that drive backed up in addition to multiple backups and images of the C: drive and files/folders backups on an external USB drive.

Will continue to try to get access to drive and hope for best...
