System Restore not creating restore points after Anniversary upgrade.

Since upgrading system restore is not creating restore points automatically. I have to create them manually and then they are being deleted automatically every 3 - 7 days. I tried allocating more disk space to restore but that has done no good. I also use an uninstaller program which used to create restore points but although it tells me it is it's not! I feel very vulnerable now only having a week's worth of restore points - there have been times I've been glad to be able to restore back a few months! Never had trouble before the latest upgrade and haven't knowingly changed any settings. Be very grateful if anyone can solve this for me. Thanks Flissa

Apart from this issue, System Restore isn't 100% reliable and can fail you (restoring) for relatively inexplicable reasons. As System Restore only protects a limited range of areas of Windows, we strongly and repeatedly recommend disk imaging (e.g. Macrium Reflect (free) + boot medium + external storage for images).
