Windows Backup and Restore error 0x800700b7

I'm trying to do my normal system image and data backups with Windows Backup and Restore, always worked fine until now. I am getting "The backup application could not start due to an internal error: Server execution failed (0x80080005).

Then i go to Services to check if the required services were started and Block Level Backup Engine Service is not. I tried to manually start it but then i get the other error code (0x800700b7), really need help on this guys.

Hmmm... This is apparently an old and well-known problem. If you navigate your file structure like so:
Windows Backup and Restore error 0x800700b7-restore-task.jpg
And then delete the SR (system recovery) task, you apparently have 50-50 odds that your error code will disappear. But if you do this, you'll have to (re)define your normal backup task definition.
Please let us know how this turns out.
    Thanks, and HTH.

The wrong 50 percent, eh? So sorry! There are some other things to try, but I've seen them recommended for older Windows versions. I'm reluctant to recommend them for Win10 without some tangible hope of success.
Are you open to the idea of an in-place upgrade install? It won't affect your overall environment much, but it should fix overall system problems (like this one) pretty handily. There's a great tutorial on this, dated 8/14.

No problem, i feel comfortable with the upgrade and i have a usb drive with W10 setup. I will need to try that because i tried restoring to old restore points and it did not work.

Nothing worked, had to restore from a previous image and had to download the W10 anniversary update and updates afterwards, that's what i was trying to avoid, hope the problem do not arise again.
