    Sleep Mode No longer works

After upgrading to Windows 10 from 8.1 Sleep Mode started to work as it should. Great. Loved the new feature.

Then a few days ago I noticed that the computer was not going into sleep mode after the 20 minutes. When I manually select sleep the computer attempts to go into sleep mode but two seconds later it comes back out of it.

For whatever reason it now reports the Power Button as the reason and no I have not touched it.

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>powercfg /lastwake
    Wake History Count - 1
    Wake History [0]
    Wake Source Count - 1
    Wake Source [0]
    Type: Fixed Feature
    Power Button

The only thing that has changed recently that I can think off is there was a automatic AMD drivers update.

Looking further back in the event log I can only see the Power Button as the reason for coming out of low power mode and not the actual reason which is the mouse moving as the trigger I have used. And it was way back as 24/6 that S4 Doze to Hibernate was last seen.

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>powercfg /waketimers
Timer set by [SERVICE] \Device\HarddiskVolume12\Windows\System32\svchost.exe (SystemEventsBroker) expires at 02:29:29 on 12/08/2016.
Reason: Windows will execute 'NT TASK\Microsoft\Windows\UpdateOrchestrator\Reboot' scheduled task that requested waking the computer.

What other tools are there available to help diagnose the solution to this problem? I have run the trouble shooting which of course found nothing.

Sorry did you not read my post, "Looking further back in the event log I can only see the Power Button as the reason for coming out of low power mode and not the actual reason which is the mouse moving as the trigger I have used. Do you have the Latest Graphics drivers installed for your GPU?
I had an issue when I closed my laptop lid for the pc to go into sleep and when I opened it again it didn't wake from sleep. Just got flashing screen. Downloaded latest gpu driver and the problem was fixed. As far as I can see, the gpu driver works with the sleep and hibernation functions.

Yes and in fact it was the latest update that I am suspicious of.

I have also found that it is related to something we have looked at on Firefox. Maybe somehow a timer is left around that is causing the problem. This is going to very difficult to track down.

Try installing an older gpu driver. I have found some of the latest drivers not to be very stable at times ie beta drivers.

I stopped all my current applications and sleep mode started working again. Great.

Well I thought things were great but after a couple of days it stopped working again. I tried stopping each application one at a time that was running and trying to enter sleep mode and it didn't fix it. I rebooted and after startup had finished rattling the hard drive I tried sleep mode and it is still not working.

The event log's entries for Power-Troubleshooter are not very helpful. Is it possible to turn on some more debugging?
