Memory usage is excessively high while no programs are open

    It seems if removing my mouse's USB receiver solved the issue (I suppose it had a memory leak). Thanks for the help

    Because the driver of the mouse has a bug, for a better explanation please contact the manufacturer of the mouse because then you look for in-depth reasons that we cannot provide.

    Whenever you see more than a few hundred MB of Paged pool memory, it is almost always a driver problem. Often it's a network driver, but sometimes it's something else. Typically it's because you're not using a Windows 10 specific driver (to be clear, Windows 10 has backwards compatibility for older drivers, but often times an older driver was never tested on 10, and thus the bug was never found).
