    Windows 10 Event 10016

Hi. I'm trying to start up a videogame, but whenever I do it immediately crashes and the 10016 error activates in the Event Viewer. I looked around the internet for solutions, and found the usual method; I went into Component Services, and scrolled down to DCOM Config and then... the damn things which I'm supposed to change the permissions for -
    {C2F03A33-21F5-47FA-B4BB-156362A2F239} and
    {316CDED5-E4AE-4B15-9113-7055D84DCC97} don't exist. Please help.

Open the registry editor, i.e. regedit.exe and press Control + F keys. In the 'Find' box paste one of the GUIDs for e.g. {316CDED5-E4AE-4B15-9113-7055D84DCC97}. The editor will stop at "Immersive shell".

Open Component Services and check the permissions for Immersive shell. If you cannot change permissions, go back to the registry editor, and once the GUID is found in the left panel, right click on it and select permissions. Take ownership of the object, give yourself login ID "Full Control" (I assume you''re logged in as an admin) and retry setting permissions in Component Services.. You may need to perform this step for both GUIDs.

Be VERY careful changing any of these permissions because, from personal experience, they usually result in a broken Windows install that is very hard to repair without reinstalling it.

If you are going to change anything then make a manual checkpoint using System Restore and, better still, make a backup of your Windows partition before altering anything.

Thanks, it worked. Something else is wrong with the game, but it just seems to be a data corruption problem. I'll uninstall it and have it re-downloaded.
