I find OPTION FOUR works best for Windows 10 Home.

You would just need to manually check for and install updates. :)

If i use option 5. Will the result be the same?
5 seems to be the easiest.

You could use 5, but you would have to enable the service before each time your checked for updates. In addition, when you enabled the service, automatic updates would also be enabled again.

Using option 4, you wouldn't have to do anything else.

If you can't use option 1 below to set your wireless to be metered, then you might see if you may be able to use option 2 instead.

I just realize my pc is connected directly to the modem or router, not using any Wi-fi so can i still do the option 4 above?

If you mean directly with an Ethernet cable, then yes.

Yeah, you'll need to do all the steps up to step 6 to set permissions to allow you to modify the "Ethernet" DWORD value in the registry, then do step 7 to set it as metered for you.

Just curious if i choose Option 5 by disabling window update. I will have to go back to enable every time i want to update it right?
Will it be fine if i don't do any update at all?

Correct, you would have to enable the service before checking for updates, the disable the service again once finished installing any available updates.

You would want to keep your Windows 10 updated since this includes bug and security patches.
