Hi,
@nick :
Good to see it's working again. Well done.
What version of Outlook were/are you using ? If it's the online version then your mail is not included in the back up unless you backed it up to HD yourself prior to creating the system restore image.Well, I didn't get back my email, that sucks, but I guess be wagers can't be choosers.
Ok, here's a question, how come I got so many partitions on drive c: ?
You have only three partitions : the recreated SRP , the system proper and the Windows Recovery partition. Behind the last one we still have unallocated space available.
If you like we can back up the Windows Recovery partition using Macrium, expand the C:\ partition to the maximum available, shrink 450Mb and restore the Windows Rec. part. to the end of the drive. Then tell Windows about its new location.
Up to you.
Thanks TC. Indeed I think that would be best for adnansukmana.
Cheers,
Frank,
I'm using Outlook 2013 from MS Office. The emails that I was trying to retrieve, were email that I saved to a "Saved" Folder. One day I was looking at the configuration where the "Saved" folder was and decided that it was in the wrong location. So...I made a new saved folder in the correct location, cut all saved folders and emails, pasted in new location and then checked that they were accessible, they were. I then proceeded to erase the old folder, and when I did, both "Saved" folders disappeared, goodbye! It was this that made me try doing a System Image Restore, which failed.
I later opened my laptop to start this thread and noticed when I went into Outlook there, all my emails were there, but what I didn't know was that when it updated, all were lost, which made me think that they were on my network and when it updated it erased them as well.
I don't have a clue why the emails weren't save with the System Image Backup, I thought that they would be.
I will try swapping cables now.

Frank,
Well the cable swap worked, now all I have to figure out is weather or not one of my SATA cables to the DVD's is bad or the DVD itself. System doesn't recognize second DVD, but power works on it. I'll shut down and try swapping cables.

A long and arduous road, but you reached the destination. It is unfortunate that the Outlook files were not found in the System Image.
Try searching This PC in file explorer
ext:(PST OR OST)
It would be a good idea to use Macrium to image the system as it is now. The System Image you had was problematic, and the pieces you made in Macrium are incomplete (you had to fix boot on SRP).
When you're done the housekeeping chores - make a new and complete Macrium backup,
Thanks for carrying the ball across the line Frank.
Great work everyone - when we meet, the first 3 rounds are on me,
Bill
.
Guys,
I do want to thank you so very much for your help, and I will to the backup as described above. Is Macrium the preferred choice in System Image software, and I take it that it is far superior that the outdated Windows System Image program.
BUT...I hate to say this, but the cable swap did work, until a reboot was done. Does it really matter, would it make the computer run slower on boot up?
BTW, I think that my second DVD fried, it's not the cable.
And finally, a word, "When your up to your A@# in Alligators, It's hard to remind yourself that you main objective, was to drain the swamp", unless you had help. Thanks guys!
Talk at you later,

Hi all,
My pleasure and yes, please. Thanks for carrying the ball across the line Frank.

No, it's not all that important. I just can't get my head around why it keeps on doing this though. I hate that.BUT...I hate to say this, but the cable swap did work, until a reboot was done. Does it really matter, would it make the computer run slower on boot up?
Cheers, cheers and cheers, (3 rounds, right ?)
I glad it worked ... you are welcome
Macrium offers a lot more than System Image - there are new and different backup methods in Win10. My preferred method is a standard copy of my personal data, nothing special. Other memebrs prefer MAcrium, so it i a preferecnes - what works best for you.
Decided tosee what I could find on the disk # issues. I dont' understand it fully, but here's what MS has to say:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/937251
I'm not sure it applies to your situation, but it is what I found befoer hitting the sack tonight.
As Frank mentioned - it shoud not negatively affect your system
