Here is a simplified instructions on doing Repair Install:

Use this Tech Bench link to download your version of Windows 10.
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...brrWLRbagYCa0w

scroll down to Select Edition > click the pointer at the right and select Windows 10 > click Confirm.
click the pointer and select Language > make sure you pick the same language the computer is now running > click Confirm
select the bit version, 32 or 64-bit. Make sure you select the same bit version as the computer is now running.
at the bottom, click the pointer next to Save > click Save As > navigate to a folder of your choice > click the chosen folder > click Save
The iso will start downloading to your chosen folder.
When it is done, go to that folder > open the folder > right click at the iso file > click Mount > click Setup.exe
    Installation will begin.
It will allow you to keep you files, settings and apps.
    No product key is required.
    Activation will be automatic.

Well, did all that and still the same Dot on "Turn on system Protection" and nothing happens. Cannot restore my computer ARGGGGG

Don't know if this will help or not.

    1. Open a Elevated Command prompt by right pressing Window key + X. Select Command Prompt (Admin).
    2. Type net user administrator /active:yes and press Enter. This enables the hidden Administrator account.
    3. Logoff your current account.
    4. Select Administrator from the lower left part of the screen then login as Administrator, no password required unless you added one at some point.

    Now try enabling System Protection.

Whether that works or not, logoff Administrator, login with your normal account then from a Elevated Command Prompt: Type net user administrator /active:no and press Enter. This disables the hidden Administrator account again.

    Go to safe mode
    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2...a.html#option2
Use Option Two ....... easiest method.

In safe mode, see if system protection can be enabled.
If not, still in safe mode, run a full virus scan.
If it catches something, remove them and try enabling system protection again.

To go back to normal mode, use Option Two, step 4.

If you want to revert the machine and erase changes you might want to try Rollback Rx. There's a free version (think they call it Home Edition) and it's probably best for restoring the machine. Works a lot better than Windows System Restore at least. Disk imaging would also work, but there's the costs involved of the storage media and the overall speed.
No disrespect, but I am afraid you that you clearly do not understand what System Restore is. It has nothing to do with System Recovery.

System Restore is like running a video tape and rewinding back a few minutes. It is useful if you have just installed a new driver or piece of software and getting some problems but just want to reverse those changes.

System Recovery is like putting in a whole new tape - everything gets reset.

Also, if you use an iso to clean install, it has to be same version as licence key is designed for etc.

In any case, to reset pc, first thing to try is reset my pc.

that didn't work either! but I know what will: A sledge hammer and a new computer WITHOUT windows10. How can I revert back to an older windows version? Just too many issues for some one like me who is not computer savy and just does not have the time to deal with issue after issue

    Questions :
1.How long ago since you installed Windows 10?

    2. What was your " older windows version" ? Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, or..............?
