Dont know why i was making it hard, i should just order another stick of the same one i just bought and things will be fine then?
Dupe post.. this is the one i just bought Kingston Value RAM 4GB 1333MHz PC3-10600 DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM SR x8 Desktop Memory (KVR13N9S8/4) at Amazon.com (so i should just order 1 more and be fine ?)
After reading about that memory you bought, they offer FREE tech support for any memory you buy from them. I would give them a call tomorrow and ask them about the problems you are having. Weather you need a Matched Pair or just but one more like you already have. Also tell them your model of your computer....just to make sure you got the right one. Before buying another one.
i tested it by itself and ti worked, but its still showing 3.6 available, why? not 4gb
talked to them they do not have any 8gb sticks and this was the last 4gb one they had, so i have to send it back for a refund.. :\ great
Go to this link and choose the option of letting it scan your computer and choose the memory you should get for your computer. Then post the results. Choose "System Scanner "

On your problem with not being able to use the full 4GB you have. Here is a clip I found from another member with same problem. This is how they explained it to this user. Yours is very similar ...most likely its your older motherboard. This may explain it better for you.
"As stormy13 has mentioned there is no solution to your problem with that motherboard. A 64 bit OS does permit access to the full 4 GB RAM but only if the motherboard supports it, which yours does not. This is not uncommon with older boards.
32 bit and 64 bit systems face the same issue with accessing the full 4 GB RAM. It is just that a 64 bit OS has a potential solution. A 32 bit OS has a 4 GB physical address space but this must be shared by RAM and memory mapped hardware which must have priority. RAM and this hardware cannot share the same addresses so a portion of RAM (labeled as Hardware Reserved) will be inaccessible. A 64 bit OS supports remapping of the conflicting RAM to higher addresses where it can then be accessed. But this remapping must be done in the BIOS, which the Intel 82945G motherboard cannot do. Many older boards do not support this."
guess its time to buy another computer, thanks for your time everyone! now where to find a cheap pc lol (i only use it for photoshop )
