Superfetch errors and system 32 sysmain.dll

My Win 10 is on a Samsung 250 SSD
Superfetch service is running with automatic as its configuration
Past 3 days there are event errors which include 'Superfetch services terminated unexpectedly' path error is system3\sysmain.dll
I did install the Adobe Flash update in this time frame. Otherwise updates are the behind the scenes store apps-which I don't use nor do I connect to the store.
Scans with Malwarebytes and a deep scan with Windows Defender were clear.
    sfc scannow reported no issues.
I did the above after the computer suddenly shut down/restarted while reading email
Used 'Who Crashed' and no dmp file available.
I thought Superfetch was to be turned off by Win10 if SSD present. Mine is on. Other posts on this forum are not conclusive regarding turning it off. My registry indicates both enable prefetch and superfetch are a 3 ( enable prefetch on everything)
Main software used daily is Lightroom, Photoshop, Firefox, email, and occasionally MsOffice 2010, Notebook++, (No games)
Since this error is listed for the past 3 days what would be the plan - stop Superfetch? - is a Chkdsk in order?

Superfetch is pointless even for common HDDs, because Windows caches software anyway.
Intel reccomends to turn it off; http://download.intel.com/support/ss...usersguide.pdf
You can try this utility, it is supposed to tweak SSD for you: Tweak-SSD for SSD

Thank you for that information. I ran the chkdsk and no negative results. I'll turn the superfetch off in services.

I have disabled Superfetch service on my installation too. No matter how I run winsat formal W10 assumes Superfetch is great for SSD too.

I checked the registry and it still had the 3 in the Prefetch so I opened the Samsung Magician software which comes with the SSD and in its advanced section there was a recommended setting to turn off prefetch. No errors have appeared in the event viewer.
The previous days the sysmain.dll error appeared through the day in event viewer and in the performance reliability chart. so it wasn't just a start up report
After the shut off there has been no more errors or sudden shutdown.
