    Won't delete temporary files

My Inspirio 14 laptop currently has 5.74 GB of useless files sitting around in it, but none of the tools to delete them are working. Both Disk Cleanup and the option in the menu at:Settings>System>Storage>This PC>Temporary Files.
Disk Cleanup won't even start, even allowing for some time. (I waited a full hour for it, still nothing.)
I need to know where I can access these files to delete them myself. I already deleted things in the %temp% and prefetch folders, which brought it from 6.25GB to 5.74. I have tried running Disk Cleanup from every menu and shortcut it has, but none have worked.

    Please help,
    Wallace.

Reboot your computer, and tap F8 and boot into safe mode, from there you should be able to delete any files from the TEMP folder.

You can delete Windows 10 temporary internet files by following these steps:
    1) S2tart Disk Cleanup, then click on View Files, and in the window that appears click on View, then in the upper right click on Options, then in the box that appears click on View, then scroll down and uncheck "Hide Protected Operating Files," click on Apply, click OK.
    2) The temporary internet folders will appear. Delete or shred (with AVG) all or as many as possible; repeat this with each folder.
    3) Go to these paths and delete everything in the final folders: C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\IE
    C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Low\IE\
Then run Disk Cleanup once or twice more. You should have less than 3 MB of temporary internet files.
    3) If you have the free version of CCleaner, you can automate this process by including the above two paths in the folders to be cleaned. (Click Options, Settings, Include, Add.)
    4) If you add C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Temp to the included CCleaner tasks, you'll also delete your computer's Temporary Files.

I use CCleaner to do disk cleanup. It works for me, in last 3 years.

Select the free version first. You can buy the paid version later if you like it that much.
I use the free version for 3 years.
