No, that's something that I haven't tried. How should I go about getting older USB controller drivers? And then the obvious questions are which older USB controller drivers should I use, and are there examples of people on Windows 10 having success at eliminating the usbport.sys issue by doing this?
In some cases yes. As to the source, I'd have to leave that up to you. E.g. Win 8 compatible drivers for your board? It's rather easier to do that for laptops, I guess.
An example (which doesn't apply to you) is to use an older WLAN driver.
The usual case is for the PC to be ok on Win 8, or 7, then exhibit latency problems when upgraded to Win 10. With a new set of drivers of course.
Hi,
I just installed LatencyMon to check if Bitdefender really is the culprit. With activated Firewall LatencyMon tells me having problems, without everything is fine. I ran LatencyMon for 10 minutes in each case doing nearly the same stuff in the background. Hopefully this helps. I can get you screenshots if needed.

By the way, one (albeit longwinded way) to get a set of older drivers would be:
a. image your current system
b. install Win 7/8 - whichever worked before
c. Back up the drivers
d. Restore your image
e. Try using selected older drivers
