Surprised no one mentioned Open Hardware Monitor, it's the only program I need for real-time temp measurements (I have the gadget enabled at startup).

Temps in BIOS don't mean much as it's in idle than. AMD systems are notoriously bad at showing idle temps accurately , only under the load and when temps approach max it starts showing more accurate. With AMD systems, it's better to use program like AOD that shows Temperature margin, when it drops under 10c it means it's about to throttle down. About 20c would correspond to 55c at core temp.
If you just want CPU info both CoreTemp1.2 and RealTemp 370 work well
OHW hasn't been update in 18 months or more , but I think it sees most Modern Hardware well
HWInfo64 is update Regularly , with new MB's and sensor support added etc , eg the new X99 line from Asus, lots of info and options given though.
To check CPU Temperature these software helps.
