    Turn on/off features blank


    Hi all,

    really stumped on this one

    device is a windows 10 surface tablet (LTSB), that was working fine on a domain. Linked to a WSUS, and has sccm installed.

    I went into windows turn windows features on and off and enabled asp.net 4.5 or was it 4.6 and rebooted, now powershell does not work, certain application that require .net do not load. It complaining that .net is not installed, and when I try installing .net 3.5 and even 4.6 it says its already installed but turned off in windows features.

    its happened twice now, the first time was when trying to install visual studio community. I got the tablet wiped/reimaged and put back on the corporate network. and Its happened again.

    Can't even load gpedit, well it loads but then complains about mmc snap in when going into configuration

    any suggestion? i've done all the dism, sfc/scannow stuff. it came up with corruption but thats all repaired now

    just for anyone else's record

    the only way to fix this is to get the same build iso, and do an "upgrade"
    this repairs the corruption.

    what an absolute pain!
